TD1 Radio was established on 1st December 2008 with the aim of providing more listening choice in the Borders. With local radio and TV services being cut back, we felt it was time to give something back to the Borders by establishing a community led and operated radio station.

A team made up of several unpaid local volunteers with
an interest in radio presenting soon became the sound of TD1 Radio.
After many years of dedication and hard work by the various presenters, TD1 Radio was granted an OFCOM
licence to broadcast locally on FM in 2015.

We rely entirely on donations and advertising revenue to survive.
