Karin Ingram
Originally from Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow, Karin Ingram moved to the Scottish Borders in 1997. With a background in Publishing and Telecoms Sales, Karin considers herself fortunate to also have been able to work In the Traditional Music scene for many years – as a Dance Researcher, Teacher and Caller and as Editor of “The Box & Fiddle” magazine.
Thanks to her work with many accomplished musicians, she has travelled to such diverse locations as Cape Breton Island, Martinique, Corsica and the Falkland Islands teaching dance and learning about local musical and dance traditions.
Karin freely admits to not being musical herself, but she is a huge admirer of the skills of her many musical friends, and has enjoyed organising gigs and events since the early 1990s. Karin currently works for a company that collects digital streaming royalties for UK Artists whose music is played in USA.
She is the office and merchandise contact for Scottish band Runrig, and PA and Agent for musician Eric Faulkner.
